Edit and Jenny the day before they left....

Left LiangPing and heading for ChongQing

Today we left Liangping and heading for ChongQing with bus. We will spend one night there before going with Air China to Xi'an. Nice to complete the packing yesterday even though that it was a long day. It is a little special because the organazier have to clear the containers in the customs even though its in the same country but its between the province.
I just got the message that custom has clear our packing,
Had a nice sightseeing in ChongQing today and we all have been shopping. Nice spicy hotpot ended the evening with the organizer - a great day. Tomorrow morning I will join in a meeting after breakfast then the wingwalkers will continue there shopping :) then lunch at 11:00 o'clock, check out and pick up at 12:30 and go to the AirPort for the flight to Xian. Tomorrow Stenis, my technician will stay here another day then leave for Sweden the day after and a new technician Niklas Amren will join us in Xi'an. Stenis have made a great job here and he fits great in to the Scandinavian airshow team.

Disassemble of the aircrafts

Today we have started to disassemble the aicrafts. We started with CATWALK.
Hope to be ready tomorrow evening with all aircrafts.
We had the local speciality for lunch: hot pot. It was very nice. A big pot
with boiling stock where we could put any of the raw served meats
vegetables in and pick them up after being cooked then drop them in sesame
oil..

Edit and Jenny started their trip back to Sweden. Tonight they sleep in
ChongQing city to take the early morning flight tomorrow morning to
Beijing. Jenny flies further to Stockholm directly and Edit stays one day
in Beijing to visit the Great Wall. She has been woking very hard in the
hotel room almost every day here in LingPing to set her new company in
Sweden online: www.youniktours.se

Hope to finish up tomorrow and get a day rest. The whole team needs it.

Yesterdays banquet, a great dinner with fantastic performances!

Today we started to disamble the airplanes to ship them to next airshow in Xi'an!

Closed the final air show day with total success

Today the weather was great. We actually had blue sky! It was an amazing
day with great audience. Alla aircrafts were working as they should.
I started to get pain in my right arm after so many displays in the last
days. Today I was flying more softly to spare the pain.
The audience were crazy about us after the show. We were signing autographs
and taken hundreds of pictures with them. Sometimes the military had to act
since the audience was about to turn over the fence. The organizer is very
happy and our team is also satisfied with the achievement. Today we managed
to take all the pictures and movies we wanted to about our participation.
Now we are on our way to a big banquette.
Tomorrow we continue to disassemble the aircrafts again to send them to the
other air show place Xi'an 15-17 October.

Great success - air show day No 2

Today started with heavy rain. We went to the airport 08:30 and prepared
all three aircrafts. It was raining heavily so we got back to the hotel for
lunch. Despite of the rain, thousands of people gathered at the airport to
watch the show. After lunch we went back to the airport and 14:00 pm the
air show started. The rain was lighter so we could start flying. Sus with
the Skycats made a great performance and improvised show due to the weather
conditions. I flew WASP and as the last performance for the day I have flew
Python too.
There was drizzle in the air and the visibility was 5 km, scattered clouds
at 400ft AGL and overcast at 3000 AGL. No horizon so it was challenging to
fly. During take off I was tuning the mixture and since we were expected to
fly for 15 minutes (normally 9 minutes) I have planned to fly softly during
the first part of the performance just to tune in the aircraft and check
all system. It also gave me the chance to study the weather conditions
which helped me planning my display program in the second half of the
remaining time. Python flew excellent. Half time I have started my display
program which ended in the hovering.

Python made a huge success!

I am very happy and relieved.
Tomorrow is the last air show day here in LiangPing. We expect better
weather according to the weather forecast. Reloading with dinner this
evening with the Scandinavian Airshow team and continue the good work
tomorrow.
